I fell in love with the house the moment I saw it, it was one of those moments when you see something and you know you must have it. It was in the Georgian style, with four stories including the converted loft; in addition there was a basement. The road was quiet witch I liked, but at the time had no idea how useful this would become.
Inside it was elegantly decorated, and had been maintained to a high standard. The ground floor had two main rooms, kitchen and water closet. At the rear the large doors of the dining room opened onto a modest sunlit garden.
The remaining floors held the six main bedrooms, and the loft had been converted into a one bedroom flat.
Within three weeks I had the keys, and number 22 Saffron way was mine.
